About Beverly Hills Insider

An independent guide to the reporting about Beverly Hills: its people, places, culture and community.

One place to discover local reporting

Beverly Hills Insider is a news discovery website covering Beverly Hills, California. We organize headlines and story images from other publishers into people and culture, dining, style and hotels, and local news. We link to the original reporting so readers can see the complete article, author, evidence and updates at the source.

Planning guides

Our Beverly Hills guides combine practical suggestions with information from official city, visitor-bureau and venue sources. They are prepared with automated research and editing support, and identify their sources and the date checked. They are not accounts of firsthand visits, paid reviews or promises of access. We do not create fictional reporters or claim independent reporting for third-party headlines.

Our sources

Coverage includes Beverly Hills Courier, Beverly Press, and other local and national publishers found through news feeds. A source name and publication date accompany each headline. Inclusion does not imply a partnership, endorsement or shared ownership.

How the edition updates

The site checks available feeds automatically, every two minutes while readers are on the site. Topic grouping is automated and can occasionally be imperfect. The homepage prioritizes local civic stories from the last three days when available; otherwise it leads with the newest story with a photo. Stories are limited to a recent reporting window; photographs are the images associated with the publisher’s story and may depict an earlier event or provide context. We do not present them as photographs taken today.

If a source is temporarily unavailable, the site may retain its last available stories and show a delayed-source notice. A page refresh time describes the edition check, not the publication time of every story. Featured photos rotate with their matching headlines every 20 seconds, with pause and next controls. Open pages check for a new edition every 30 seconds; actual new coverage depends on when publishers release it. We do not independently verify every claim in linked reporting. News cards link directly to the publisher; our own guides use separate pages and are labeled as planning guides.

Local videos

Our video playlist uses public embeds from Beverly Hills Television, the City of Beverly Hills’ channel, plus relevant YouTube uploads from KTLA 5 and ABC7 Los Angeles. We filter news-channel uploads for Beverly Hills, California, verify publication dates and use the publisher’s embedded player. The playlist checks its public video sources every two minutes while readers are on the site and includes uploads from the last 35 days. Dates identify when the source uploaded a video; meetings and events may have occurred earlier. Videos start muted when the player is in view, with an autoplay switch and the source’s playback controls. Muted previews move to the next clip after a minute; choose “Watch full video” or interact with the player to keep watching. Reduced-motion and data-saving preferences turn automatic playback off initially.

Local posts on X

Our X section displays public posts from the City of Beverly Hills and Beverly Hills Police Department accounts linked from the City’s social media directory. We retrieve posts through the X API, preserve attribution and publication dates, and link each post and its media to X. The shared feed checks for new posts every 15 minutes while the site is in use. A complete refresh every six hours updates edits and removals. Delayed sources show a notice; cached posts are removed if they cannot be checked within 24 hours. Original publication dates remain visible, and we do not call older posts breaking news. The separate local-newsroom headlines come from our news edition and are not X posts.

Local weather

The weather display uses the National Weather Service forecast grid for Beverly Hills, California (34.0736, −118.4004). It shows the forecast temperature and conditions for the current hour, rather than a measurement from a nearby airport. Times are Pacific Time. We check for updates every ten minutes while the page is open and remove a forecast when its hour ends if a new one is unavailable. The weather link opens the official Beverly Hills forecast.

Attribution and corrections

Article text, photographs and other source material remain the property of their respective rights holders. This site displays headlines and source images for discovery rather than reproducing complete articles. For questions or corrections about an article, follow its source link to the publisher’s contact or corrections channel.

Independence

Beverly Hills Insider is not the City of Beverly Hills, the city’s visitor bureau or any publisher whose stories appear in the feed. The site does not offer official city services. Venue names and source links are provided for reader reference.
